Traditional White Braces

White braces, or ceramic braces, work the same way as traditional metal braces, except they use clear or tooth-coloured brackets. They still feature a single metal archwire running across the front of the teeth, but look far more discreet than completely metal braces.

Many patients, adults and teens alike, choose white braces for their aesthetic and cosmetic appeal. The thought of wearing metal braces can be offputting, and white braces offer a better alternative. The clear elastic wires or ties that connect the brackets to the teeth can stain, but these are changed at each appointment, roughly every month or so.

Benefits of white braces

Am I a suitable candidate?

White braces are a suitable orthodontic treatment for most patients. The traditional combination of brackets and archwires ensure they can treat even severe cases. These braces can be used to correct:

At your free 15-minute initial consultation at Orthodontic Gallery, our specialist orthodontist, Dr. Naseri, will help determine the best treatment for you.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment tends to last around eighteen months, but it depends on your individual case. Dr. Naseri will estimate your treatment length at your consultation.

Before treatment:

Your teeth will be examined for any decay or gum disease, which will need treating first. You may even need to have teeth extracted before your braces are fitted.

During treatment:

After treatment:

Your teeth will have finished moving into their new and improved position, and your braces will be removed. You will then wear a retainer to keep your teeth in place after treatment. It can be a removable appliance, or fixed to the inside of your teeth, depending on your needs and preferences.

How much do they cost?

The price of white braces depends on your individual case and will be discussed at your consultation. Orthodontic Gallery offers affordable prices, interest free credit, and long repayment plans to help you spread the cost.

Do you want to straighten your teeth with white braces? There is a £40 consultation charge, which is deductible from the cost of any future treatments you undertake.
